Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster finally arrives on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2023.

Great new for Final Fantasy fans: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is finally coming to consoles after only being available on PC and mobile devices! That’s the news Square Enix announced today.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Console Release Details

The game collection is coming to both the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch in Spring 2023. Unfortunately, Square Enix didn’t provide a solid release date but that will come later. Also, it this collection will not arrive on the Xbox Series S|X at all, nor the PS5. (However, PS5 owners can purchase the PS4 edition and play the game on that console.)

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster will have both a digital and physical release. Both editions includes Final Fantasy games 1 through 6. Fans can purchase the collection as a whole or just individual games if they don’t want all of them.

The digital Standard Edition retails for $74.99 USD for both the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch. That’s about $12.50 per game which is a good deal in my opinion. However, if fans interests lie in getting the collector’s physical edition then they need to save up. Because the Anniversary Edition retails for $259.99 USD. What do you get for this price? It’s quite the list:

  • Physical collection of all games for either PS4 or Nintendo Switch
  • Anniversary Edition GOODS BOX.
  • A bonus lenticular sleeve for the game package
  • 2-disc vinyl record set featuring newly arranged game music with exclusive cover artwork by Kazuko Shibuya
  • A specially compiled artbook showcasing beautiful character pixel art
  • Eight stylized pixel art character figures in window packaging

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster physical edition

You can preorder the physical copy directly from the Square Enix store here. And the developer suggests fans put in their preorder now because the Anniversary Edition is extremely limited and will probably sell out.

Also, the developer will sell a standard edition physical collection of all the games also from their store. Just like the Anniversary Edition, the standard physical edition will be limited too.
