Watch The Game Awards And Win A Steam Deck

Looking to get your hands on a free Steam Deck? You could win one while watching The Game Awards on December 8th.

I for one am totally excited for this: If you’re going to watch The Game Awards you should do so on Steam TV so you could possibly win a free Steam Deck. And you may have a good chance of winning one because Steam is going to give away a 512GB model every minute during the event. Yes, I’m not kidding. Every minute there will be a winner.

Watch The Game Awards On Steam To Win

So how can you possibly get one of these free Steam Decks? First you have to reside in the US, Canada, UK, or EU. Next, you have to register here. Then you must have made a purchase on Steam from “November 14, 2021 and November 14, 2022 to verify the country, be in good standing, and not have a limited account.” Then on December 8th you must watch The Game Awards on Steam ( If you’re chosen from the pool of registered watchers your name will show up in the chat as each drawing takes place.

Yes, it’s that simple. However, you should read through the official rules to become aware of what your responsibility will be if you win one of these devices. The biggest responsibility will be paying taxes on the Steam Deck: “The prizes are not substitutable and there are no cash alternatives to the prizes listed. Each prize winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, including taxes imposed on their income.”

Finally, you must make sure you give your shipping information to Steam before December 16, 2022 if you do win one of the Steam Decks. The company will reach out to winners via their email address in their Steam account. If you don’t respond to their email then you will forfeit your prize. And that would suck.
